Gynura procumbens - A relative of Okinawa spinach, this perennial spinach has many health giving properties and is a superfood. It has shown in lab tests to have constituents that are anti-tumor, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and have other potential healthy properties. Use this leaf in smoothies, salads, and cooked dishes. Loves the shade and is a sprawling ground cover. Frost sensitive but will grow back from roots. May hold leaves in freezes when protected by trees or bushes.
