Description
This tree gets very large - up to 30X30 feet, sometimes more! Too big for most yards and roots are very aggressive so keep it away from foundations. It produces a delicious white berry that tastes like honey when ripe and when dried, will keep for months. Sun or part shade, dry or wet, it likes it all. Likes a small amount of nutrition. Feed twice per year, manure or organic fertilizer, Jan and June. The leaves have been well respected in Chinese medicine for centuries, and also feed the famous silk worm. The leaves are also edible, but must be cooked. Please do your homework to ensure you prepare the leaves properly - and then freely enjoy!
