Description
Though all "Morus alba" mulberries have edible leaves (most of what we sell), this mulberry has particularly tender and tasty leaves. The fruit are also big, juicy and delicious, with just the right amount of tartness. The leaves are lobed, unlike most mulberries. This tree gets huge, but like any full size mulberry, can be kept trimmed to size yearly. Prune in July, after the tree fruits, and it will sometimes produce fruit again in the fall. Leave plenty of room for this tree if you want it to grow to full size. Roots are aggressive and can be a problem for building foundations. Gets 30 feet tall and wide, loaded with fruit, greens and medicine. Wildlife will love you too.
