Our native elderberry is perfectly adapted to Florida's tricky climate and will rapidly grow to 10ft tall if cared for. The white flowers are often used as a flavoring in teas and wines, and the prized berries have endless uses including; pies, jams, and dyes. Avoid unripe berries which contain traces of cyanide compounds.
