Sambucus  - This elder grows easily anywhere in Florida and produces copious flowers and fruit if given even a small amount of nutrition. Responds well to wetter areas but is drought tolerant as well. Make cordials and teas from the flowers and tinctures, juice, jam and other delicious things with the berries. Plant is well known for boosting immune system and as a medicinal tonic.
